Chris Emmins, CEO of KwikChex, will appear in an upcoming episode of the BBC’s flagship consumer programme Rip Off Britain. Chris often works with the Rip Off Britain team and has persuaded them to investigate Seasons.
The BBC have confirmed the programme schedule and content in an email to Chris today, see below.
“This email is to let you know that the episode that you feature in for Rip Off Britain will air on Tuesday, 19th May at 10:45 am on BBC One.
This episode will include:
Seasons Holidays
Advice Clinic – On The Road – Reading
Jamaica TUI
Q&A – Change Name On Booking & Honeymoon 4 Star Hotel
How To Guide – How to Complain About a Package Holiday
ABTA”
The programme examines concerns raised by members, including claims that the goalposts were moved as contracts came to an end and that investments were worth significantly less than expected.
The programme includes the case of one woman who says she is still waiting for a payout more than two years after her membership ended.
KwikChex sees this as the start of extensive media coverage of the issues affecting Seasons owners and is working with other journalists to ensure the full story reaches the public and authorities.
The episode will also be available to be viewed online and on ‘catch up’ for those who can’t watch it on television on Tuesday – see the link to the BBC iPlayer page.
We’ll follow up after the programme and share suggestions on how you can help maximise the impact of this work in the fight for redress and justice.
