KwikChex featured in Sunday Times article about fake restaurant review scams

KwikChex CEO, Chris Emmins has been quoted in a recent Sunday Times article highlighting the dangers of fake restaurant reviews, the impact they have on business owners, and just how easy it is for would-be scammers to get started.

‘If you know where to look on the dark web, there are online training courses for aspiring fraudsters, who can “become part of a network, a franchise, or they can learn how to do it alone”’. 

‘Almost universities where people are being taught how to scam.’ 

When referring to how business owners are treated by reviews websites, he said 

‘The average experience is very similar, they don’t get very much help from TripAdvisor, Google etc’.
