Timeshare Claims against Marriott – what’s the truth?
· News, Timeshare Claims & Exits, All News/Blog, Blog

Owners with Marriott generally express high satisfaction with their vacation experience – and the timeshare resorts in Spain are no exception to the perception of the established quality of the Marriott brand – but there is more to the story. Marriott Vacation Club has been one of the principal targets for claims – why is this?
The truth is that Marriott is a target for claims because
- Many Marriott contracts (possibly all) written between 1999 and 2012 breached the Spanish law that the Supreme Court ruling was based on.
- Although an excellent vacation experience product, many owners have decided that timeshare simply isn’t for them – and they feel the annual fees are too high now and don’t want to continue to be locked into the product.
- Marriott is a substantial business, to say the least, and so it is seen as particularly viable for claims and unlikely to become insolvent, as has happened to several other timeshare companies in Spain.
